The 40th Clinical Conference & Exhibition organised by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) took place in Liverpool (UK) between 9-11 May 2017. The BCLA hosts the UK’s largest Clinical Conference and Exhibition dedicated to contact lenses and the anterior eye every 2 years. EDEN fellows, together with some of the principal investigators, attended this three-day conference. The conference programme consisted of multiple lecture tracks, plus practical workshops. The hottest topics were discussed as: Introduction to ortho-k, myopia management update, demands of digital devices on contact lens wearers or emerging technologies. Among the main topics, a rapid fire session concerning the latest research in dry eye was chaired by Professor Lyndon Jones and all the EDEN fellows had the unique opportunity to show their latest work to the attendees.
